It was daybreak, and the faint orange light was tinging the horzion. The rest of the sky was a dusty deep blue, its stars twinkling out one by one.
The roar of cars in the street below filled the silence, along with the wailing sirens of police cars.
Diamondstar was bounding along a building. She clawed her way up a watertower and sat there, sniffing the air and listening. Then she sprang off the tower and slid down a slick roof, pausing at the edge of the buidling. She sat facing the jewelry store, her eyes flashing.
With a swift movement, Diamondstar scaled down the building and slipped inside the jewelry store.
Glittering jewels and diamonds sat in cases, gleaming upon velvet cushions. Diamondstar examined her surroundings with wonder.

"Hello Diamondstar", announced a figure from the shadows. "Oakfang", she said with a hint of surprise, "I didn't pick out your scent here" With a sly smile, Oakfang pounced on to the glass counter. Placing his mid-claw into the slit, he slid the claw back and forth until he heard a satisfying CLICK! Reaching into the display case, he extracted a silver and diamond braclet. Bounding down to Diamondstar, he placed the jewelry gently over her head. The sparkling crystals fitted perfectly around her neck. "Thanks for letting me into your clan.", he said, not meeting her eye. "One day RavenClan will repay your kindness." Oakfang watched the silver Egyptian Mau slip though the window, back out into the cold street and dash away. Oakheart saw her dazzling emerald eyes glance back one last time before disappearing behind a yellow monster. Looking back down at the glass display counter, he curled his paw around a saphier bracelet. Closing the the counter top, he slid though the open window, back on to the street.

Slinking along the edge of the sidewalk, Oakfang spotted another cat from RavenClan. "Leaftail", he cried, now dashing to his step sister, "I'm so glad to see you here. Why have you come all the way into the city? Surely not just to visit me." Leaftail, usally joyful and energetic, looked down at the concreat. "Ravenstar has lost his sixth live to the greencough." Oakfang's heart plummited. He knew it would troublesum news but this? This was very bad. Three more lifes, and the Ravenclan's leader would die for the last time. "Has the greencough claimed any more lives?" asked Oakfang after a long moment. "Snowfur lost one kit, but she has to more left. All who have it are getting better by the day. Lostclaw has already recoverd and the rest will recover by mid-moon. You know Fleapelt is a very skilled medicen cat."

The faint orange glow of the sun shown over Oakfang's siler-blue fur, ah he stirred in his sleep. After hunting street rats all morning, he was called over to Diamondstar's balcany for a new mision breefing. He noticed that all the DawnClan cats were stairing at him with perticular hatred and jelusy. This assignment must be an important one.

"Oakfang", said Diamondstar with a hint of impatiens in her voice. Oakfang noticed she was wearing the stunning diamond collar he 'retrived' for her the day before. "We have a new mission for you." Runningbrook sigh and cotinued, "Our scouts have spotted quite a few Moonclan scents in our territory. We need a patrol to go to ThunderpathCross, and fight them out, but take no lives. I needn't remind you what happened last time a mooncat died." Oakfang thought back to the brave warrior who had been knocked unconuse into the middle of thunderpath. A yellow car hadcome at the last momment, and though it had stopped the fighting, it wasn't worth it. "Who shall I take with me?"asked Oakfang, forget the insedent. "You may take any warrior" concluded Diamondstar turning back to the stairs up to her balcony, followed by Runningbrook.

The MoonClan cats fought like TigerClan. They'er not really a clan, but a band of loners, outcasts, and bloodtrirsty kittypets. As Oakfang dashed into the fray, with Silverheart, Runningbrook, mothpaw and Jaggedpaw behind him. He flung himself on to a darkcolored calico, biteing her shoulder. The stench of crow-food swirled around the DawnClan warrior, making the air hard to breath. Oakfang let the calico scurry off the roof they were fighting on. One down, four to go. Looking to his right, he saw Mothpaw and Jaggedpaw swatting at an under fed tabby. Looking back, Oakfang was knocked to the ground, by a large tabby with a bright red collar. "You'll pay for that, Kittypet. Ovibusly, no one has taught you the warrior's code yet," Snarled Oakfang, hating to be caught off guard."That is if you were a warrior!" Leaping at the tabby's neck, Oakfang's world seemed to slow down. He saw the suprise it the kittypet's eye, he saw the tabby's mouth open, then his claw's hit the neck. Twisting around, the kittypet dash away, towards the old, vial factory. Within secends, the DawnClan warriors had frightened away all the MoonCats

Turnig to the two appreteces, Runningbrook snarled, " Get back to dusk Clan young ones, no one asked for your help." Tails drooping, the Dusk clan appenteces padded slowly off the roof top.

Emraldstorm slowly padded up to the previous scuffle. "What happened here?" She purred in amusement. ((She's sort of a loner, but everyone knows her.)) She lept onto a broken piece of cement, and looked down at them. "You know, if you'd come and found me, I would've helped. It almost seems as if no one trusts me anymore." She said, voice as smooth as honey. Her icey eyes twinkled with the thought of a new devious plan. "Let me see... those were Moonclan cats, weren't they?" She crooned.
